Unfortunately, it isn’t possible to do things like this with control surface scripts alone. Other software of some sort (such as MT Player) is needed. We do plan on adding in this sort of functionality, but it’s going to take some time to figure out the best approach as adding more software into the equation adds quite a bit of complexity and we’d like to minimize that as best as we can.

Ability to change record function Ableton Live
Right now, when hitting record on my nanokontrol 2, Ableton starts to record clips in the session view. I would prefer if it would record into arrangement view, so the ability to change this function would be awesome!

Controller Support: Akai MPK 249
MPK 249 has 8 knobs & 8 faders & 16 pads + Display.
I want to see Live's parameters on MPK 249's display.
maybe it's hard for matrix mode.
but i think that's possible for encoder modes.
i wonder if i can see parameter's name on MPK 249's display for selected track.7 votes -
Monome 64-Style Drum Sequencer Matrix Mode w/ Buttons for Drum Cell Focus Navigation
Monome_64-Style Drum Sequencer Matrix Mode w/ Buttons for Drum Cell Focus Navigation & Drum Grid Selector.
Imagine a 64 step sequencer for a single drum cell note, ex: C2. You could program a whole 64 step sequence on this page. Press function button to navigate 1 step up to C2# or down to B1. You press a shift button and you can select the exact drum pad you wish to sequence from the 4x4 drum grid. While you continue to hold this Shift button the Drum CELL Focus Navigation Buttons become the Drum GRID Navigation Buttons.
It’s be a treat…

External App: Midi capture mode
Captures chords and and single notes from a midi clip and sorts them on pads. Same as pxt live plus but add a playable 2 octaves above it like the other modes had. Being able to use this in a drumrack would be cool too, but at the least basic capture is nessary
7 votesModes of this sort are planned, but likely won’t make it into the initial release as they can’t be accomplished within a control surface script alone (they require 3rd party software such as MT Player, which PXT-Live Plus uses).
Update: A mode (Note Capture Mode) that captures from clips is available now. It does not allow single pads to play chords however, just single notes. What I said above still applies to having pads play chords.

Controller Support: Nektar Panorama P1
Well, what it says in the title..Nektar have provided a Ableton template for this great controller but it's a very basic one :
http://www.nektartech.com/s.nl/ctype.KB/it.I/id.753/KB.1129/.f
I'm sure there could be done a lot more in regards to Live, i think with the right script this controller could be an awsome companion to the Launchpad etc.P1 product link:

Hazmap Mix 2 : control 4 parameters in 2 tracks (ideal for djing) instead of 1 on 8 tracks
I just discovered hazmapping and it's great ; what I would like to do is map 4 parameters (volume, one-knob filter, and 2 effects for exemple) on 2 tracks, this will create a good template for djing.

APM: Select Encoder Modes with Shift instead
Using Arsenal APM, Changing Encoder Modes with Shift, or at least having the option to, would help a ton with workflow (essentially reversing the Shift and regular state of the Encoder Accessory Buttons in APM)
While it's nice to always have a visual representation of what mode you're in, having to hold down Shift to use the in-Mode Encoder Accessory Button functions is a little frustrating. I have the EABs in Clip Mode set up for some basic transport functions through ClyphX, including Session Record, which in conjunction with a note-based mode would create a really powerful workflow for laying…
