scale sequence keyboard overlay
in scale sequence mode, when holding shift, there would be a button to make the bottom two rows become a playable 13-note keyboard (one octave C to C), which could be set In Key along with the scale sequence.
Can you give me an example of how this would be useful?
Edit: After reviewing this, this idea wouldn’t be practical. You can momentarily switch to modes that play notes (such as Scale Mode) to accomplish this.

Gotcha. I'm not sure how practical that would be. Playing in real-time while holding down Shift sounds a bit awkward. I suppose we could add an additional layout to the mode. That way, you wouldn't have to hold down Shift. That would still be problematic though. Pads that were arranged chromatically similar to a keyboard would be odd to use for In Key. Additionally, the mode has the Fold option, which wouldn't make sense to apply to a chromatic pad layout.
Perhaps this idea would be better suited to a separate mode. Would that suit your needs?

for real-time sequence recording. a bit like on the Beatstep Pro, except, in there I'm stuck with the normal C to C layout - it has scales but they only apply to the knobs for editing or offline step-sequencing, so I can only play C major/minor/etc. on arsenal however, it would be possible to change the root note (and scale) of the little keyboard.
I realize that note+ takes care of all this but, it's a kinda different vibe with a 13-key standard piano layout on pads, so I'd be happy to see that in arsenal, just thought it would be a good fit for scale-seq mode, just adding options.
