  1. Novation Circuit is an awesome groovebox, but also an amazing midi controller. I dont know if you've ever had one in your hands Stray, but the possibilities of making an script for it could be amazing!

This wouldn’t be possible unfortunately. The device can be used as a basic MIDI controller, but cannot be disconnected from its default functionality really. So, scripts couldn’t do things like re-purpose its pads in a proper way as the device would still be in control of the pads.

I could only suggest contacting Novation to request that a proper MIDI control mode (where the controller is simply a blank slate that just sends and receives MIDI data) be added. Perhaps that could be done in a firmware update.

  2. Support for the Electrix Tweaker

  3. Arsenal modes are nice but what I'd really like is a graphic interface (such as Korg Kontrol Editor) with user-friendly assignation (drop an Ableton function on a button)

Admin note: Edited this suggestion as the first part of it is going to be handled in a different way.

Update: Upon looking into this, it seems that using shift + these buttons to access more modes (so the script will have 12 modes instead of just 10) would be more useful. Undo/redo can be accessed from ClyphX modes or the forthcoming Global mode, any of which can be assigned to mode 3 or 4 (the modes that will be accessed via shift + these buttons) for quick access.

  5. I have been experimenting with ringlink, it seems that switching from Arsenal scripts I have to go in and edit Ringling settings to get my push and launchpad pro to link up again. If I could define settings within each Arsenal folder I it was be a faster and easier switch between Asenal script setups.

This would be inefficient and limiting as each script would need to manage its own linking and could only link to one other script (one script can currently be linked to 5 other scripts, including non-Arsenal scripts).

You can accomplish what you’re after by leaving all of the Arsenal scripts you’re using in place and linking them and Push in your linking settings. That would allow you to link up to 5 Arsenal_LPP scripts together with Push. That approach is inefficient too, but would only affect this particular use case instead of linking in general.

  6. I would like to use 4 lines of global user matrix mode at the top and 4 lines of cue snap mode at the bottom. In fact I only use 4 lines of each but I would like to display all at the same time without the need to change the current mode

What features/functions in particular would you want the mode to have?

UPDATE: I’m declining this due to vagueness. It can be reactivated if the idea is clarified and possible.

  8. I think Circuit sequencer beats em all. Could it be possible?

There isn’t internal storage for this. But you can get the same basic effect by using ClyphX’s X-Clips to store the snaps, which you can then trigger via Session Mode or the ClyphX Modes. You can even create the X-Clips and store snaps in them on-the-fly via the ClyphX Modes.

  10. In Global User mode, Clyphx actions only use one color.
I would like to be able to link each Clyphx action to a property in the ClyphXUserActions class, as done for example for the Song class for the metronome property.

With this I can configure boolean parameters for my User Actions.

I use it to activate/deactivate the singer track for live/studio modes.

I can give additional technical elements for this.

    Thanks,
    Ben.

This wouldn’t be possible as ClyphX doesn’t handle LED feedback (there is no sensible way to provide feedback in reference to an action list). So the LEDs of buttons assigned to ClyphX actions are locally controlled – they simply change state upon being pressed/released.

  11. It would be nice to have a "universal" mode to be able to config custom controllers.

Can you give me an example of what you’d like this mode to do?

UPDATE: I’m closing this as it this couldn’t be done via a mode like I mentioned in the comments. However, offering an SDK for other developers is still on the wishlist.

  12. A feature/product roadmap would be really usefull.
For example, if a feature is not in the feature roadmap this would allow me to better plan my setup build

  13. Ideally this mode would show a grid of all pads with action names on each. Maybe a 32x2 format could work. Could then select a pad with Shift + pad, and then show the complete action list for that pad.

This wouldn’t be possible as Encoder Modes own displays. Matrix Modes only have momentary access to displays. It would be possible to have an M4L device that serves as an onscreen display to show the assignments in ClyphX Mode though. I’ll look into that.

  14. When I play with a device using Arsenal, I would like to use more than 8 mapped parameters and to have a one-button access to these parameter groups based on group names.
The Ableton standard Push play mode proposes these with groups Named bank1,bank2,etc... wich is not very usable.

Ubermap proposes an extension to name these groups and to organize parameters into groups with a configuration file :
    See : hhttps://github.com/tomduncalf/ubermap/blob/master/Devices/README.md
I made changes to the code to make it work for live 9.7.1 with ClyphX and using Push1 and Push2 in parallel, with standard Ableton modes.

    This code does…

I’m not entirely sure what you’re requesting here. The title mentions HazMapping, but the examples are related to Instant Mapping (control over the selected device ala Device Mode).

In any case, there are similar requests already related to both types of mapping. So I’m declining this for that reason.

    Existing requests:

  15. in scale sequence mode, when holding shift, there would be a button to make the bottom two rows become a playable 13-note keyboard (one octave C to C), which could be set In Key along with the scale sequence.

Can you give me an example of how this would be useful?

Edit: After reviewing this, this idea wouldn’t be practical. You can momentarily switch to modes that play notes (such as Scale Mode) to accomplish this.

  17. when session is set as a matrix mode it would be nice to be able to press shift and have the matrix accessory buttons perform clyphx actions, seeing as how they already launch scenes as default

  18. Likely not possible but worth a try. This would be useful in saving CPU when playing Push2 live with many active plugins.

This wouldn’t be possible unfortunately. You could try renaming the process or moving it to another location before the gig though. That way, the process couldn’t be launched by Live.

  19. I would like to be able to define arrangement sections to be looped automatically.

This is typically to be used for live improvisations. Lot of songs have a chorus section that may be looped for an extended solo part, which duration may change at preformance time.

I expect to define a begin cue and an end cue for each loop. When the begin cue is reached, the loop is set to fit the begin and end cues, and automatically activated. The loop mode is exited when running LOOP OFF action.

A simple usage could be to add cues named '('…

  20. This feature is based on the "song mode" feature.
I would like to define the song order by configuration.

    Let's consider the set contains 4 songs named : song1, song2, song3 and song4 located with dedicated cues : "ssong1", "ssong2", "ssong3" and "ssong4".
For a live concert where I want to play in order song3, song2 and song4, I would like to define the list in a configuration file.

I suggest a global parameter editable by the user :
    SONG_ORDER=song3,song2,song1

I also suggest to define a dedicated cue at the end of each song, just before…
