This would mimic the factory script function for executing Capture.
Capture is the best thing since sliced bread so it would be nice if it functioned the same in both the factory and NativeKontrol scripts (including PXT Live & PXT Live Plus).
I've found myself reflexively hitting record + new in PS2 and am bummed when it doesn't work.19 votes
MF twister is a sturdy and protable controller with:
- 16 high-resolution endless encoders
- Integrated push switches on every knob
- Full LED feedback that syncs with software
- 6 additional buttons on side of the unit
I think this is a unique and powerful controller already and I'd be curious to see what the Nativekontrol team could do with it!

I would like to be able to use a step sequencer on the push 2 and automate parameters with step automation like in PXT Live on the Push 1. Extremely handy.15 votes
For controllers with a display (like push 1 and 2) it would be nice to display the chain names and have the solo buttons below the names on the first row of the matrix and the mute buttons on the second row of the matrix. It would be nice to have them to be momentary if held and toggle if tapped. Specifically for the Push 1 and 2 this could be used on the track state and track select buttons instead of the matrix so that it would not interfere with the current matrix mode.11 votes
I’ll review this. Note, however, that if it were added, it would not be specific to Push or Push 2. It would work with any (or at least most) Arsenal-powered Control Surface script with encoders.
Since Push's touchstrip is thankfully so supercharged with additional functions in Arsenal PS scripts, it would be convenient to have the ability to assign its default function depending on your usage pattern. For example, it would be useful to set the Arsenal PS touchstrip to control crossfader or sprung mod wheel by default, since you already have the default pitch bend function of it in Push's factory control surface.9 votes
Something similar to PXT-Live Global mode would be very useful.9 votes
I’ll review this. Note, however, that such a mode would only be compatible with controllers that have encoders that send relative values (such as Push).
Captures chords and and single notes from a midi clip and sorts them on pads. Same as pxt live plus but add a playable 2 octaves above it like the other modes had. Being able to use this in a drumrack would be cool too, but at the least basic capture is nessary7 votes
Modes of this sort are planned, but likely won’t make it into the initial release as they can’t be accomplished within a control surface script alone (they require 3rd party software such as MT Player, which PXT-Live Plus uses).
Update: A mode (Note Capture Mode) that captures from clips is available now. It does not allow single pads to play chords however, just single notes. What I said above still applies to having pads play chords.
an arsenal script which would work with any midi controller that supports the MCU protocol, and function exactly like the standard Live mackie interface would with that controller, but you could link it with other scripts.7 votes
Well, what it says in the title..Nektar have provided a Ableton template for this great controller but it's a very basic one :
I'm sure there could be done a lot more in regards to Live, i think with the right script this controller could be an awsome companion to the Launchpad etc.P1 product link:6 votes
Create an editor that would allow us to reorder the native ableton devices so they match what we see on screen.6 votes
Device Mode: I wanna see the Track view for editing Macros
Clip Play Modes: I wanna see the clip view for chopping etc
This is already included in Ableton Lives original Launchpad Pro control script just by toggling the "DEVICE" Button6 votes
Also, Modes meant for use with 4 x 4 pads.5 votes
Unfortunately, it isn’t possible to do things like this with control surface scripts alone. Other software of some sort (such as MT Player) is needed. We do plan on adding in this sort of functionality, but it’s going to take some time to figure out the best approach as adding more software into the equation adds quite a bit of complexity and we’d like to minimize that as best as we can.
I just discovered hazmapping and it's great ; what I would like to do is map 4 parameters (volume, one-knob filter, and 2 effects for exemple) on 2 tracks, this will create a good template for djing.4 votes
Each instance of the HazMap Mix Mode can control multiple parameters across 8 tracks. The number of parameters depends on the number of Encoder Accessory Buttons available. For example, you’d get 4 with the APC mini and 8 with the Push controllers.
That said, it sounds like the mode already does what you need. If that isn’t the case, please clarify what it is that you’re trying to do that you’re unable to do with the mode currently.
MPK 249 has 8 knobs & 8 faders & 16 pads + Display.
I want to see Live's parameters on MPK 249's display.
maybe it's hard for matrix mode.
but i think that's possible for encoder modes.
i wonder if i can see parameter's name on MPK 249's display for selected track.4 votes
Right now, when hitting record on my nanokontrol 2, Ableton starts to record clips in the session view. I would prefer if it would record into arrangement view, so the ability to change this function would be awesome!4 votes
It is nice 9 Encoder / 9 Buttons controller4 votes
